During the month of July, Egyptian courts issued death sentences to 36 defendants in 20 cases. Among them, 2 were issued final verdicts that could not be appealed. Additionally, 14 defendants' papers were referred to the Grand Mufti in 9 other cases.

It should be noted that these numbers represent the minimum that researchers were able to determine through families and media reports.
